I, the undersigned, Professor Simon Weber, certify that Doctor FAYCAL Belaouchi has been working for more than two years now as head of clinic in the department of cardiovascular diseases at the Cochin Hospital, which I direct. This clinic followed a solid training as a cardiologist acquired during his internship in cardiology at the CHU of Amiens.

He devotes all of his activity to the practice of coronary angiography and coronary angioplasty. In this field, he has acquired a perfect mastery of both current techniques and more specialised and heavier techniques particularly developed in my department: coronarography by trans radial approch; management of coronary emergencies, particularly heart attack treated with kardegic with primary angioplasty; management of cardiogenic shock with mastery of circulatory assistance techniques, particularly by intra-aortic counterpulses; management of haemodynamic explorations and eventually coronal disocclusion of extrahospital cardiac arrest.

Dr.Belaouchi’s skill level allowed me, at the end of his sixth month of Clinicat, to entrust him with the full responsibility of hemodynamic on call as part of the department’s on-call roster. In this capacity, given the recruitment of Cochin’s team, he ensures, on days when he is on duty, the management of the heaviest emergencies corresponding to the southern half of Paris.

The experience he has acquired and will continue to develop over the next year will undoubtedly allow him to create his own coronary and interventional cardiology team. He clearly has the capacity both in terms of the strength of his knowledge of cardiology, his technical experience and his ability to manage a medical and paramedical team.
