Biography
Dr. Belaouchi was born in Oujda, Morocco in 1968.After primary and secondary studies at the French mission he obtained his baccalaureate in 1995 at the Lycée Régnault in Tangier.
He then began his medical studies in France, first in Besançon and then in Paris, where he completed the second cycle of medical studies and the day school at the Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital Centre in Necker–Sick children.
Received at the France Medical Internship competition, he begins his specialty in cardiology and vascular medicine at the Amiens University Hospital where he trained in cardiac ultrasound at the school of Professor Jean-Philippe Lesbre. He will validate his inter-university degree and support his thesis on a major theme of the discipline.
During the last year of his internship, he was given the opportunity to start his training in interventional cardiology at the Cochin CHU in Paris in Professor Weber’s cardiovascular department, which will give him access to the position of Head of Clinic and then Assistant in the same department, and will finish his inter-university degree in hemodynamics and interventional cardiology (Henri Mondor Medical School. Université Paris Créteil ).
For nearly 10 years, he will be working as an interventional cardiologist in this pioneering service in this specialty by participating in many international studies, but especially treating patients of extreme severity and complexity (infarction myocardial cardiac arrest).
As part of his work, Dr.Belaouchi also taught hospital students. He will also be the author of numerous publications in prestigious medical journals and will make several presentations at international medical congresses.Dr. Belaouchi begins work experience in interventional cardiology at the private hospital in Caen (France), recognized as one of the best centres in this activity in the ranking of private establishments in France.
In 2005 he returned to Morocco and set about building a clinic in his heart city, Tangier, exclusively dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, creating the Cardiovascular Institute of Tangier (ICVT), with a cardiac cath lab a first at the time in northern Morocco.
Since then, Dr.Belaouchi has performed more than 10,000 coronary angiographs and more than 2,000 coronary stent dilations. He is now a respected figure of the Moroccan medical community with a reputation of competence and excellence in the field of interventional cardiology and the image of an honest, close and dedicated physician.
