Electrocardiogram - ECG

This is an exam that records the electrical activity of the heart.

It provides information about the frequency of beats, the presence of rhythm irregularities and the existence of anomalies heart muscle, coronary arteries or heart valve dysfunction.

The ECG is performed at rest, lying down, is painless, safe and does not require anesthesia. Electrodes are located at the handles and ankles and on the patient’s chest.

The detected signal is transmitted to the device which converts it into a printed trace as the physician will interpret.
