coronary angiography

It is a medical examination that allows to visualize the heart’s nourishing coronary arteries.

Indicated when there are indications that they are obstructed.

Requires hospitalization for a few hours.

The exam only requires local anesthesia.

A very thin catheter is inserted through a vessel in the arm or thigh and brought to the level of the heart.

A small amount of contrast is then injected through this catheter into the coronary arteries, allowing them to be viewed using a radiology device
